Implementations and scope of the features vary among different apps. Here, you can see how Cubicl is different than other apps that provide the similar features.
This is the feature where every app has its own interpretation about how to manage tasks. Some apps does not allow creating sub-tasks or checklists, or limit the number of assignees to one. Cubicl allows sub-tasks, checklists, more than one assignee, progress bar and many more.
Most apps allow sharing files by attaching them to tasks. Some allow sharing them over chat if they have a chat feature. Cubicl allows both task attachments and files in chat messages. In addition to that, Cubicl also allows a separate Files page for each group and project. There, you can upload files and create folders similar to how you manage your files in Google Drive or Dropbox. This way, your team can store and share the files independent of the tasks.
Reports vary a lot from app to app. Some apps just provide statistics. Cubicl provides reports on status of the tasks (completed, late, overdue), reports by team members, reports by clients, time tracking reports and statistics. You can also download the report as an Excel file and perform operations on it.
You can start time tracking on a task by click on the start and stop buttons. You can add a duration later if you forget to start time tracking. We also show you which team member is working on which task by using running time trackers.
Some applications does not provide exactly a Gantt Chart but some tools similar to Gantt Charts. Cubicl provides an interactive Gantt Chart that also shows task status (completed, overdue, etc), completion date, original start and due dates. We also provide Time Chart feature where you can see and edit the workload of each of your team members. This is like a Gantt Chart but each row shows the schedule of a team member instead of a task.
Some apps allows you to create read-only accounts for your clients. Your clients can access your team's account but they cannot edit anything. Cubicl provides a Client Portal feature where you can provide your clients with a portal where you can share tasks and files with your client, collect support requests from your clients and reply them. Clients can upload files and comment on tasks too. This way you can manage all client related work from your client's own panel.
Cubicl allows you to save clients and keep track of client related work and deals.
You can embed a form into your website as a contact form. All requests for support, information and quote will be created as tasks and will be assigned to your team.
